Life beyond the timetable
Art, music, the stage, sport and the house system: the parts of school children tend to remember longest.

The Arts & Music
The arts are a fundamental part of the curriculum. Through art, design, dance, music, literature and other creative activities, children explore, express and communicate their feelings while gaining experience of the wider world.
Through the arts, children develop their creativity, self-esteem and confidence. A continuous and rich artistic experience is part of every child’s education here, from the youngest classes upward.

Annual Day & performances
Annual Day is the high point of the school year. Families, staff and guests gather to watch students perform songs, tableaux, skits, and gymnastics and karate displays. Rehearsing for weeks, standing in front of a full hall and seeing it through is its own kind of lesson.
Smaller performances through the year give more children a turn on stage, including programmes in green and white for national days.

Sport & Physical Education
Physical education is part of the timetable, taught by specialist teachers, and our open green campus gives children room to run, play and learn games outdoors. Students have also prepared gymnastics and karate displays for Annual Day.
Houses & assemblies
The house system
Every student belongs to a house. House points are awarded for good work and good behaviour, and they recognise effort as much as results, so every child has a way to contribute to their house.
Weekly assemblies
Each week the school comes together in assembly. Alongside school-wide events and performances, assemblies help children of different ages feel part of one community.
